VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives

The VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series is a family of adjustable-frequency AC drives engineered for variable-speed control of three-phase asynchronous motors across multiple industrial supply classes. Models cover 3-phase 200 to 230 V, 380 to 415 V, and 440 to 500 V systems, with user-programmable output frequencies up to 120 Hz, or up to 500 Hz for applications requiring high speed. Control is based on Danfoss Voltage Vector Control and is complemented by automatic motor adaptation, configurable control inputs/outputs, RS485 communication, and selectable operating characteristics for both constant-torque and variable-torque loads. Standard integrated elements-including motor coils, DC link coils, and galvanic isolation-improve installation flexibility, mitigate harmonic effects on the mains, and allow longer motor cable runs without additional external components. Across the range, the drives provide thermal motor protection, short-circuit and earth-fault protection, and offer multiple enclosure options suitable for industrial installations.
