The 175H1016 is a variable-frequency AC drive produced by Danfoss and supplied within the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. It converts fixed mains power to a modulated output that allows motor speed to match process demand in conveyors, pumps, and fans. By varying output frequency and voltage together, the drive supports smoother starts, steadier speed regulation, and reduced mechanical shock compared with direct-on-line motor operation. By integrating control, protection, and filtering inside a single IP-rated enclosure, the product simplifies panel layout for industrial automation systems.

This drive is enclosed to IP54, so it resists dust accumulation and tolerates water splashes without an additional cabinet in many indoor installations. The control electronics accept a line supply at 50/60 Hz, and the inverter section delivers a continuous output rating of 3 HP under constant-torque duty. At full load, the conversion path operates at 96% efficiency, which helps reduce wasted heat inside the enclosure and supports stable operation over longer run periods. The carrier frequency can be set as high as 500 Hz for high-speed spindles. Acceleration or deceleration can be extended to 3600 s so delicate mechanical couplings see less shock during start-up or soft stopping.

The permitted ambient range extends from -10 °C to +40 °C, and storage is allowed up to +65 °C. An internal RFI filter reduces conducted noise on the supply, helping the unit meet EMC requirements on factory power systems and limiting interference with nearby equipment. The logic permits 5 per min input switching events, which helps protect the DC-link capacitors while still supporting common batching sequences. A minimum ramp time of 0.1 second is available for fast stopping, and output switching is unlimited, so downstream contactors may open or close while the inverter remains energized. This arrangement supports applications where the motor circuit must be managed frequently during normal machine operation.
