The 175H1002 is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. By modulating the voltage and frequency supplied to a three-phase induction motor, it enables accurate speed regulation, energy savings, and reduced mechanical stress in automated process lines. The device is intended for cabinet installation where centralized control of pumps, fans, or conveyor motors is required. Its integrated control logic accepts standard start, stop, and ramp commands from PLCs.

Rated output power of 2.2 kW makes the drive suitable for small to medium induction motors used in HVAC or light material-handling stations. At full load, it operates with an efficiency of 0.96, meaning only 4 % of the supplied energy is lost as heat. The inverter can produce output frequencies up to 500 Hz, and this wide span supports oversynchronous motor speeds when the mechanical design permits. Frequency increments are set digitally with a resolution of 0.05 %, allowing precise process tuning. Acceleration and deceleration can be extended to a maximum ramp time of 3600 s, a feature that protects high-inertia machinery from torque shocks during start or stop.

Operation is permitted up to an ambient temperature of 45 °C in constant-torque service, with internal power losses limited to 130 W at maximum load. The drive accepts a mains line of 50/60 Hz and incorporates electronic thermal motor protection to DIN 44081, so external thermostats are unnecessary. Motor leads may run 150 m when shielded, while an unshielded reach of 300 m supports long cable runs on large conveyor lines. Unlimited output switching enables frequent start-stop sequences without component wear, and the electronics withstand storage temperatures up to 70 °C. The enclosure weighs 7.40 kg, keeping panel load modest while still providing the necessary heat-dissipating mass.
