The 175L1025 is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss and assigned to the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. Designed for panel-mounted deployment, this unit modulates the voltage and frequency supplied to a three-phase induction motor so that speed, torque, and energy consumption match real-time process demand in conveyors, pumps, or fan stations. By replacing mechanical throttling methods with electronic control, the drive contributes to tighter process control, reduced wear on driven machinery, lower peak current draw during start-up, and smoother speed changes during routine operation.
Under continuous operation, the inverter delivers a rated mechanical output of 2.2 kW. In constant-torque mode, it supplies a current of 4.8 A, while the variable-torque profile limits average conduction to 4.1 A; a short-term overload window extends capability to 7.7 A for up to sixty seconds. The power stage can swing carrier frequency to 500 Hz, enabling high-speed motor applications, and overall efficiency reaches 96% at full load to minimize thermal losses in the enclosure. Input tolerance is ±10% of line, so the control board remains stable during moderate mains fluctuation. Two start commands per minute are permitted to keep semiconductor temperature within design limits. Heat rise in the motor is checked by electronic thermal protection that cooperates with a DIN 44081 thermistor embedded in the stator winding.
The drive connects to a 460 VAC three-phase supply operating at 50/60 Hz, and installation guidelines specify a 16 A pre-fuse for branch-circuit protection. Terminal blocks accept conductors up to 2.5 mm², and output cables may run as far as 150 m when shielded or 300 m when unshielded without jeopardizing rise-time or EMC limits. These distances allow cabinet placement outside hazardous zones while keeping reflected wave voltage within the IGBT rating. A maximum cable impedance combined with the supply tolerance affects the voltage at the motor terminals, supporting stable vector regulation under both constant-torque and variable-torque duty.
