The Danfoss 175H1065 is an AC variable frequency drive belonging to the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. It is intended for panel-mounted integration where it modulates the speed of three-phase induction motors in conveyors, pumps, and other general-purpose automation. By converting constant mains power into a regulated output, the unit allows process equipment to run only at the speed demanded by the application, improving energy use and reducing mechanical wear.

This controller is designed for a nominal input of 230 V (3-phase) and draws up to 13.3 A on the line side in constant-torque service. Under those conditions, it supplies the motor with a continuous output current of 5.6 A, while its power stage operates at an efficiency of 0.96 to minimize heat dissipation. When faster or slower machine cycles are required, the inverter can raise or lower fundamental frequency anywhere from zero to a ceiling of 500 Hz, providing a wide speed envelope for standard motors. Protective coordination with upstream circuits is accomplished with a 25 A pre-fuse, and power loss at maximum load is limited to 130 W so cabinet ventilation requirements stay moderate.

For short overloads, the output stage tolerates 9.0 A for 60 seconds, and acceleration or deceleration profiles can be extended to a maximum ramp time of 3600 s to soften mechanical transients. Unshielded motor leads may reach 1000 ft without violating drive limits, allowing remote motor placement. The unit continues delivering full current up to an ambient temperature of 40 °C; operation is possible down to -10 °C, and storage is permitted between -25 °C and 65 °C. Relative humidity may rise to 95% non-condensing, and a 0.7 g vibration test verifies resistance to panel shock in typical factory floor installations where space, wiring distance, and ambient conditions vary.
