VLT 2000 Frequency Converters

The VLT 2000 Frequency Converters series is a line of Danfoss AC drives built for stepless speed regulation of standard three-phase asynchronous motors by converting fixed mains frequency and voltage into a variable motor supply. Offered in both single-phase and three-phase input versions, the range spans power ratings from 0.37 kW to 4.0 kW, dependent on the input voltage class and model variant. Leveraging Danfoss Voltage Vector Control, the units provide full rated motor voltage at rated frequency, enhance current waveform quality, and reduce inverter switching losses compared with conventional PWM strategies. Core features include electronic thermal protection for the motor, galvanic isolation between the power and control sections, and programmable control inputs and signal outputs with RS-232 communication. Optional accessories-such as braking functionality, RFI and motor filters, LC and RFI filter modules, and motor coil modules-enable compliance with EMC requirements, support longer motor cable runs, and allow the drives to be tailored to specific installation needs.
