The 195H4101 is an AC frequency converter produced by Danfoss within the VLT 2000 Frequency Converters series. The device rectifies fixed three-phase mains power and reconstructs it as a variable-frequency, variable-voltage output that directly drives induction motors. By adjusting the electrical frequency, it permits closed-loop or open-loop speed control, soft starting, and process energy savings in automated conveyor sections, pumps, and fans. Integrated control terminals and status LEDs provide immediate operating feedback, while the unit's compact frame simplifies panel layout.

During operation, the inverter can supply an output phase current of 2.2 A, which is the continuous current the power stage can withstand thermally. Its apparent power capability reaches 0.9 kVA, indicating the electrical load available to the connected motor. The converter accepts grid frequencies of 50/60 Hz, so it can be installed on both European and North American mains. Internally generated carrier pulses are modulated to reach a motor fundamental of up to 500 Hz, enabling high-speed spindle or blower applications. Control electronics are supported by an auxiliary supply on terminal 12 that delivers +24 V DC for sensors and relays. A housing rating of IP20 indicates finger-safe access but no protection against water jets, which affects cabinet placement and airflow planning.

Thermal management relies on natural convection, so the drive must be mounted with unobstructed vertical clearance to let rising air remove heat from the heat sink. Motor leads may extend up to 40 m without additional output filters, which sets limits on remote installations while maintaining acceptable reflected-wave voltage levels. The electronics are designed for ambient temperatures up to 40 °C, after which derating is required, so cabinet cooling or plant climate control must be considered when the converter operates in warmer production areas.
