The 134F3017 is an AC drive module produced by Danfoss in the VLT FC 360 Automation Drives series. It regulates the speed of three-phase induction motors in industrial automation lines, allowing equipment to match motor output to changing process demand. By varying the inverter output to the motor, the unit helps improve control during acceleration, steady operation, and deceleration. It is built as a stand-alone chassis-mounted converter that interfaces with plant power and control networks.

It accepts a three-phase supply between 380-480 VAC, matching common industrial distribution systems. At its high-overload rating, the inverter delivers 7.5 kW, which corresponds to 10 HP, and this supports short-term torque increases during startup or changing load conditions. The integrated brake chopper handles regenerative energy so an external braking resistor can be connected when braking duty requires it. An IP20 chassis is intended for installation inside a control cabinet where finger-safe protection is sufficient. Power conductors enter through the standard cable entries used for Adaptation A, and no added mechanical provision is included for Adaptation B or the B option.

Control integration relies on the ProfiNet control card, which exchanges status words and setpoints with higher-level PLCs and uses the standard language pack. Noise emission is limited by the RFI Class A2 filter, helping reduce conducted interference on the supply side. The electronics are protected by a coated PCB that resists moisture and airborne contaminants in industrial cabinets. For multi-drive installations, the mains module supports loadsharing, allowing DC-bus energy to be distributed between neighboring FC 360 drives. The unit comes without a local display, so parameter access is handled through remote tools or detachable keypads.
