The 134F2972 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 360 Automation Drives series. It converts a fixed mains supply into a variable-frequency output so that three-phase induction motors can start smoothly, run at the required process speed, and stop under controlled conditions. By adjusting output frequency and voltage, the unit helps match motor operation to the needs of conveyors, pumps, and other automated equipment. This supports stable process control where speed changes are required during normal operation. Soft starting can also reduce mechanical stress on driven equipment during startup.

The drive accepts a three-phase input between 380-480 VAC and delivers up to 1.0 HP, which is equivalent to 0.75 kW, when paired with the proper motor. The high overload setting allows brief current peaks so that heavy-inertia loads can start without nuisance tripping. An IP20 chassis housing lets the unit be mounted inside a ventilated panel while limiting accidental contact with live parts. The standard control card provides local I/O and fieldbus terminals for common control wiring. Because no display is installed, parameter entry is handled through a remote keypad or software.

The mains option load sharing lets several FC 360 units exchange DC-bus energy, while the integrated brake chopper dissipates excess power when that shared capacity is exceeded. This arrangement helps manage regenerated energy during deceleration in multi-drive systems. The power board uses a coated PCB finish for added resistance to contamination inside the cabinet, and electromagnetic compatibility meets RFI Class A2 requirements on public networks. Standard cable entries from Adaptation A help keep wiring straightforward, while Adaptation B and the B option indicate no special adaptation. This keeps the configuration aligned with standard panel layouts.
