Designed for building services, the unit regulates motor speed in ventilation, pumping, and chiller circuits so that flow matches real-time demand while limiting electrical and mechanical stress in large commercial systems. By converting fixed mains power to a controlled AC output, it provides the torque and speed control needed for modern air-handling equipment and related HVAC loads.

The drive operates from a three-phase input of 380-460 VAC, a range that covers common low-voltage distribution in commercial facilities. Its inverter stage is sized for 37 kW / 50 HP loads, letting it start and modulate large supply or return fans without oversizing the feeder. The enclosure has a Compact IP54 rating, which helps keep dust and water splashes away from internal electronics when the unit is wall mounted in mechanical rooms. Operators set parameters and read alarms through the integrated LCP, so an external keypad is not required for local access. The control terminals and bus bars use the standard hardware layout, which keeps the connection pattern consistent with other VLT 6000 frames.

Several optional protections and communication features are omitted to keep the configuration focused on basic HVAC use. There is no RFI filter, so additional line-side filtering must be added if sensitive instrumentation shares the panel. The power board is supplied without conformal coating, which limits installation to locations where airborne contaminants are minimal. Network integration relies on hard-wired I/O because the unit ships with no fieldbus option, avoiding protocol setup when a building automation system already uses analog signals.
