The 175Z7464 is an HVAC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss and supplied within the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. The unit modulates the speed of induction motors that run fans, pumps, or compressors in building-management systems, allowing temperature and pressure loops to maintain setpoints while reducing energy demand. By converting fixed mains frequency to a variable output, the drive fits easily into automation panels that require accurate air-handling or chilled-water control. This operating method lets connected equipment match motor speed to demand instead of running continuously at full speed.

It is housed in a compact IP54 enclosure, so the electronics are protected against dust and splashing water when the drive is mounted directly in mechanical rooms. The line supply range of 200-240 VAC matches low-voltage three-phase networks commonly found in light commercial facilities. At full load, the drive can deliver up to 4.0 kW (5.0 hp) of mechanical power to the connected motor, making it suitable for medium-size air handlers. An integrated Local Control Panel provides an alphanumeric display and keypad that allow local starting, stopping, and parameter adjustment without external tools. The electronics use standard hardware, so the internal I/O and protective functions follow the baseline VLT 6000 platform.

The drive is delivered without an RFI filter, so external EMC components may be needed where conducted emissions must be reduced on long cable runs. Because there is no conformal coating on the circuit boards, the unit should be installed in locations without airborne corrosives or persistent high humidity. Communication slots are blank, and there are no fieldbus options preinstalled, so control is handled through hard-wired terminals or the local panel. It is also supplied without application options, which keeps the setup limited to the standard operating configuration.
