The 175Z7440 is produced by Danfoss and belongs to the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. It is an AC variable-frequency drive intended to regulate fan, pump, and compressor motors so building-automation systems can maintain stable airflow and temperature with lower energy use. By converting incoming three-phase mains and adjusting motor speed, the unit supplies controlled torque for HVAC loads and supports coordinated operation across air-handling and water-circulation equipment. This allows connected motors to run at the speed required by the load instead of remaining at full speed.

The drive accepts a supply of 380-460 VAC, allowing direct connection to common industrial power networks without an autotransformer. Its continuous output capability is rated at 4.0/5.0 kW/HP, which is suitable for midsize HVAC motors. A front-mounted graphical interface is provided by an LCP local control panel, which supports parameter entry and fault readout at the unit. The housing has a compact IP54 enclosure, which helps protect the electronics from dust and splashing water. To limit conducted emissions, an integrated Class A1 and B filter attenuates high-frequency noise. This helps the installation meet EMC guidelines without external chokes, and fieldbus support is omitted for installations that rely on hardwired I/O.

From a configuration standpoint, the product is shipped as a Standard unit with the application code set to Graham, which sets default PID constants for typical ventilation duty. The control board has no coating, so it should be installed in locations free of corrosive vapors. It is supplied with no application options, which keeps the footprint small and simplifies wiring. The fieldbus position remains inactive, so basic control can be handled through standard wired signals rather than an added communication card.
