The 175Z7370 drive is manufactured by Danfoss as a member of the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. It is an AC variable-frequency drive intended for fan, pump, and air-handling equipment where motor-speed regulation supports energy savings and stable airflow in building automation systems. By adjusting output frequency to match changing demand, the unit helps connected motors avoid unnecessary full-speed operation. This makes it suitable for installations that need steady control instead of simple on-off motor operation.

Its continuous output capacity reaches 37/50 kW/HP, allowing it to modulate medium-sized induction motors used in supply or exhaust stages. This output range fits many central HVAC fans and circulating pumps used in larger facilities. The input supply range of 380-460 VAC lets the unit connect to common three-phase utility feeds found in commercial installations. To protect internal electronics while keeping the footprint small, the housing has a Compact NEMA 1 enclosure rating, which is suitable for clean electrical rooms where basic touch protection is required. Operators configure parameters through the detachable LCP interface, which shows speed, current, and alarm data on site. Internally, the drive uses a standard unit build, so no special heat sink, brake chopper, or harmonic kit is fitted at the factory.

The 175Z7370 arrives from the factory without a filter, leaving the choice of external RFI suppression to the enclosure design. The power board has no coating, so the unit should remain in conditioned spaces where moisture and airborne contaminants are controlled. Communications over BACnet, LonWorks, or PROFIBUS are not present because the fieldbus slot has no options, so commands are handled through the terminal strip or the local panel. Local operation remains available through the panel when network communication is not used. The drive uses the Graham airflow-control routine, which supports compatibility with that balancing logic without additional option cards.
