The 175Z7361 is a variable-frequency HVAC drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. Designed for industrial building automation, it modulates the speed of centrifugal fans, pumps, and compressors to align motor power with real-time load demands, improving energy efficiency and reducing mechanical stress on connected equipment. This drive is commonly used in air-handling systems in large commercial facilities, where precise airflow and temperature regulation are critical to occupant comfort and stable operating conditions. By adjusting motor speed instead of relying on constant full-speed operation, the unit helps reduce unnecessary wear on belts, bearings, and connected mechanical assemblies.
The drive accepts a three-phase supply of 200-240 VAC, matching typical low-voltage distribution panels found in mechanical rooms. With a motor capacity of 11 kW / 15 HP, it can control induction motors up to that output while maintaining torque across the full frequency range. A Compact NEMA 1 enclosure permits installation in indoor electrical spaces and provides finger-safe protection for indoor use. Operators program parameters through an integrated Local Control Panel, which provides status readouts and manual override when a supervisory controller is offline. This model is supplied without a filter, so external RFI suppression may be required when sensitive instrumentation or nearby control circuits share the same supply. This layout suits ventilation and pumping duties where speed changes occur throughout the day.
It is built as a standard unit, so the terminal blocks and heat sinks follow the baseline configuration used in this drive family. For projects identified under the Graham application profile, the unit has no fieldbus or application options installed. The printed circuit boards have no protective coating, so the installation site should remain free of corrosive contaminants and excess moisture. In clean indoor environments, that arrangement supports normal operation without the added surface protection used for harsher atmospheres.
