The 175Z7360 is a variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. It is intended to regulate three-phase induction motors in air-handling units, circulation pumps, and exhaust fans so that airflow or fluid volume follows building load conditions. By continuously trimming motor speed rather than relying on mechanical throttling, the unit cuts energy use and limits wear on dampers and valves. The drive mounts in control cabinets alongside pressure or temperature sensors and exchanges analog or relay signals with central building management hardware.
The drive accepts a mains supply of 200-240 VAC, which matches standard low-voltage distribution panels in commercial facilities. Its power section delivers up to 7.5 kW or 10 HP, enabling closed-loop control of motors up to ten horsepower without derating. The drive has a compact NEMA 1 enclosure, which provides basic finger-safe protection when the unit is installed inside conditioned electrical rooms or ventilated enclosures. Parameter adjustment and local diagnostics are handled through the front-mounted panel, and the unit comes with an LCP. This Local Control Panel offers dedicated keys for run, stop, and menu navigation plus a numeric readout of frequency or alarms. The drive is supplied without a filter when additional RFI suppression is unnecessary.
The internal power board is delivered without a protective coating, so the installation site must remain clean and dry to avoid conductive contamination. Electronics follow the standard unit configuration, meaning no custom I/O or safety expansions are preinstalled. Network communication cards can be added later, yet the factory configuration includes no fieldbus options, leaving the terminal strip for start and stop commands and analog speed references. The drive uses the Graham application profile, which presets acceleration, deceleration, and PID gains for common centrifugal fan and pump curves in school, hospital, and office ventilation systems.
