The 175Z7280 is a Danfoss AC variable frequency drive in the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. It is intended for industrial and commercial air-handling or pumping loops where automated speed control can reduce energy use and keep process variables steady. By modulating motor frequency and voltage, the unit can work with building management systems to match fan or pump performance to changing load demands. That kind of control is commonly used to smooth airflow or liquid movement instead of running motors at full speed all the time.

Input power can be supplied within 380-460 VAC, allowing connection to common three-phase distribution networks without a transformer. The drive's continuous output capacity is rated at 1.1 kW / 1.5 HP. This output range fits smaller HVAC motors that need steady speed regulation during normal operating cycles. A Compact NEMA 1 enclosure supports panel mounting in indoor electrical rooms while providing basic finger-safe protection. Conducted emissions are reduced by a built-in Class A1 and B filter, which supports use where EMC limits must be controlled. For local operation and diagnostics, the unit is supplied with an LCP (Local Control Panel), which includes a backlit display and membrane keys for direct parameter access. The local panel also allows status viewing at the drive instead of relying only on remote signals.

The hardware configuration is a standard unit, so no additional I/O or thermal enhancements are installed at the factory. Because the electronics have no coating, the drive should be used in clean, non-condensing atmospheres to limit moisture exposure on the circuit boards. In damp areas, condensation can shorten insulation life and increase the risk of tracking across electronic components. The unit is configured for Graham duty, a designation used for HVAC operation that emphasizes constant-torque fan control. Fieldbus communication and dedicated application plugins are supplied with no options, so any network connection must be handled through discrete wiring or an external gateway. Any added communications hardware must therefore be provided outside the base unit.
