The 175Z7056 is a variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. It adjusts the speed of three-phase induction motors so ventilation fans, circulation pumps, and cooling tower equipment can follow changing building demand instead of running at a fixed output. This helps reduce electrical consumption while also lowering mechanical stress on belts, bearings, and connected rotating parts. The drive is intended for building automation systems that need smooth motor control, stable process response, and quieter operation than direct-on-line starting usually provides.

Electrically, the inverter accepts 380-460 VAC input, so it can connect directly to common industrial power systems without a separate step-down transformer. The power section is rated at 18.5 kW, or 25 HP, which suits medium-sized air-handling units, pump skids, and similar HVAC loads. A compact IP54 enclosure helps protect internal electronics from dust and splashing water in mechanical rooms and other protected indoor areas. The integrated Class A1 and B filter helps limit conducted and radiated emissions, which can simplify installation where electromagnetic compatibility must be controlled. A front-mounted local control panel (LCP) is included for status display, parameter changes, and manual speed adjustment during setup or service.

In HVAC mode, the drive supports automatic sleep, proportional-integral control, and fire-override functions commonly used in building systems. The unit uses a standard unit hardware layout, which keeps the configuration straightforward for general HVAC duty. Its circuit boards are supplied with no coating, so the drive should be kept away from corrosive vapors unless added board protection is required. The drive is supplied with no communication options, so external commands and speed references are handled through the built-in analog inputs or the keypad. This base configuration is suitable for installations that do not require a fieldbus card or extra application add-ons.
