The 175Z7052 AC drive is produced by Danfoss within the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. It is installed between the line supply and three-phase induction motors so ventilation or pumping equipment can run only as fast as required by the building automation controller. By regulating output frequency and voltage, the unit reduces energy use, limits startup current, and helps keep airflow or pressure stable during facility operation. This operating method suits HVAC duty because load demand changes throughout the day rather than staying constant.

Rated at 5.5 kW / 7.5 hp, the drive supplies enough continuous power for medium-sized fans or pumps while leaving margin for temporary overloads during ramp-up. It accepts line inputs from 380-460 VAC three-phase networks and automatically adjusts motor voltage to match the commanded speed. A compact housing with a protection level of IP54 blocks dust and water splashes, so the drive can be wall-mounted in mechanical rooms without a separate cabinet. The embedded EMC stage includes a Class A1 and B RFI filter that attenuates conducted noise back toward the supply. That filtering helps reduce interference with nearby electrical equipment in the same installation. The detachable LCP interface handles parameter entry and local start/stop control, and it also provides direct access to alarms and operating data.

The application option set is No options, so no additional software profiles are preloaded. The power section uses standard PCB material with No coating, which requires installation in an area that stays within the permitted humidity range. The communication expansion slots are empty, so the unit has no fieldbus option. This arrangement supports basic standalone operation without an added network card. The power stage, control board, and thermal management are delivered as a single standard unit, keeping the internal assemblies in one package for normal HVAC use.
