The 175Z7049 is a variable-frequency drive supplied by Danfoss in the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. Installed between the mains and an induction motor, it converts constant line power into variable-frequency output so fans, pumps, and air handlers can run at the speed required by a building management system. This speed control can lower energy use, reduce acoustic noise, and maintain stable temperature or airflow in commercial and light-industrial ventilation and chiller circuits. By matching motor speed to process demand, the drive avoids unnecessary full-speed operation during part-load conditions.

A three-phase input of 380-460 VAC feeds the rectifier, and the inverter is rated for 2.2 kW/3.0 HP, which matches small blower wheels or secondary pump stages. The housing has a compact IP54 design that blocks dust and splashed water, allowing mounting on mechanical-room walls without an additional cabinet. The unit includes an LCP for parameter entry, local start-stop, and real-time readouts. The menu structure follows the numbering used across related drives, which keeps navigation consistent. The drive comes without fieldbus cards, leaving terminals for conventional analog or relay control.

Conducted emissions are limited by the integral Class A1 and B filter, which removes the need for external RFI chokes in most switchboards. Delivered as a standard unit, it has no conformal coating and no application option board. The control setup is tuned for HVAC equipment, with fan and pump macros available in the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives platform. This arrangement suits standard ventilation and hydronic control tasks in building systems.
