The 175Z7047 is an HVAC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. It installs in an electrical panel and modulates the speed of centrifugal fans, pumps, and compressors used in building air-conditioning systems. By altering motor frequency instead of relying on mechanical dampers or valves, the drive lowers electrical consumption, extends equipment life, and helps maintain stable temperature and airflow setpoints.

Electrically, it accepts a three-phase mains window of 380-460 VAC, matching the common 400 V distribution used in plant rooms. Within this range, the inverter delivers up to 1.1 kW/1.5 HP of shaft power, which suits small air-handling zones, terminal fan coils, or secondary chilled-water pumps. The housing uses a compact IP54 design, so dust is kept out and water splashes from maintenance work do not reach the power stage. Conducted radio-frequency noise is reduced by an integrated Class A1 and B filter, keeping emissions within regulated limits. The unit is classified for HVAC duty, so its control functions support quadratic torque loads and include PID loops for pressure or temperature control.

Operator interaction is handled through a detachable LCP keypad, which provides a backlit display, start-stop keys, and a quick menu for local operation. Internally, the drive follows the standard unit hardware profile, so the analog inputs, relay outputs, and thermistor terminals are present without custom expansions. The circuit boards have no coating, which improves heat transfer but requires a cabinet environment free of corrosive gases. Communication slots are prepared but fitted with no options, so fieldbus cards can be added later if building management integration is required. The separate application option bay is also empty, which simplifies wiring and helps limit heat rise.
