The 175Z7031 is an AC variable-speed drive produced by Danfoss in the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. Intended for heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning installations, the unit adjusts induction-motor speed so airflow or water flow matches actual demand, which can reduce energy use in building automation. It mounts inside electrical distribution panels where compact dimensions and direct parameter access are required. This operating role makes it suitable for fans and pumps that do not need constant full-speed operation throughout the day.

The drive operates on a three-phase supply between 380-460 VAC, allowing direct connection to common commercial power networks. Its continuous output capability of 18.5 kW (25 HP) supports medium-size supply and return fans as well as booster pumps. The unit has a compact IP20 enclosure, so live parts remain finger-safe when the product is installed in a ventilated control cabinet. Parameters are adjusted through the integrated LCP (Local Control Panel), and this removable keypad provides menu navigation, start and stop keys, and a copy function for duplicate drives. To limit conducted emissions, the electronics include a Class A1 and B filter, which helps the installation meet residential and light-industrial EMC limits without extra components.

This model is intended for HVAC duty cycles and is supplied as a standard unit without additional application boards. The internal PCB has no coating, so the drive should be installed in a dry, clean electrical room to reduce the risk of moisture-related tracking. The base product has no fieldbus options, although PROFIBUS, LonWorks, or BACnet cards can be added later if needed. It also comes without extra application options such as cascade controllers or fire-mode relays. That layout keeps the hardware focused on core speed control for common air-handling and pumping tasks.
