The 175Z7030 is an AC variable-frequency drive built by Danfoss for the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. As an HVAC-focused drive, it regulates induction-motor speed in air-handling units, pumps, and chillers so that building automation systems can match flow to real-time demand and reduce unnecessary motor loading during partial-demand operation. The unit serves as the control element between the mains supply and three-phase fan or pump motors used in commercial and industrial ventilation networks, where reliable speed control helps stabilize airflow and water circulation.

This model supplies up to 15 kW / 20 HP of mechanical output and is powered from a three-phase input range of 380-460 VAC, which matches common North American and European distribution voltages for fan and pump loads in medium-size HVAC systems. A Compact IP 20 enclosure allows cabinet installation where basic finger-safe protection is required. Operation and parameter entry are carried out through a front-mounted Local Control Panel, and the keypad and display support local setup without external tools. Conducted emissions are attenuated by the integrated Class A1 and B filter, which helps reduce electromagnetic interference on shared electrical buses.

The drive is factory-assembled with no coating on its printed circuit boards, so it should be installed in clean mechanical rooms rather than corrosive or high-humidity areas. Its functional category remains HVAC, and the electronics are delivered as a standard unit without custom I/O. Both the application option slot and the communication port are shipped with no options, so any network integration must be handled through external gateways. Because the fieldbus connection is not populated, wiring is limited to hard-wired start, stop, and analog reference signals, which simplifies installation for conventional building-management-system loops and existing analog control schemes.
