The 175Z7008 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. It is intended for heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning machinery where fan or pump speed must track cooling or heating demand. Installed between the line supply and a three-phase induction motor, the drive converts fixed network frequency into a variable output that enables precise flow regulation, soft starts, and lower energy use. In building automation systems, the unit functions as a core actuator that balances comfort with efficient operation across changing load conditions.

It operates from a line voltage of 380-460 VAC, giving it compatibility with common 400 V distribution panels. Within that range, the inverter delivers up to 4.0 kW / 5.0 HP of motor output, which is enough to run medium-size supply or return fans. The housing follows the slender Bookstyle IP 20 format, so cabinets can be tightly packed while still meeting finger-safe ingress requirements. To limit conducted radio interference, the power section integrates a Class A1/B filter, allowing use on industrial or commercial feeders without extra suppression. Operators interact through an onboard LCP, which provides start-stop keys, speed entry, and real-time fault codes.

For installations that do not require advanced networking, the drive is supplied for HVAC duty as a standard unit suited to variable-torque loads. The control board has no coating, which suits conditioned equipment rooms. Because the model offers no fieldbus options, setup relies on the keypad and the built-in analog or digital I/O, keeping wiring simple for stand-alone air handlers, booster pumps, and exhaust systems.
