The 175Z7007 is an AC drive produced by Danfoss as part of the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. Designed for heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment, the unit modulates motor speed so air handlers, pumps, and compressors draw only the power demanded by the load. By converting fixed mains power into variable frequency and voltage output, the drive provides building automation systems with precise flow and pressure control while helping reduce electrical consumption and mechanical wear. It is suited to variable-torque applications where airflow or water flow must follow changing system demand.

The drive is delivered in a compact IP 54 housing, allowing installation in mechanical rooms where dust and incidental water spray are present. It accepts a three-phase input between 380-460 VAC, matching common commercial distribution panels. The output section is rated for 3.0 kW / 4.0 HP, giving it the capacity to start and regulate medium-sized fan wheels or small chilled-water pumps. To minimize conducted and radiated noise on shared feeders, an integrated Class A1 and B filter suppresses high-frequency switching harmonics. Parameter entry and local diagnostics are handled through the detachable Local Control Panel, which provides start, stop, and setpoint adjustments without external devices. This allows operating changes to be made directly at the drive when a separate network interface is not required.

Because the target application is HVAC, the drive includes predefined PID loops, sleep modes, and fire-override profiles for common building-control tasks. These functions help the unit respond to changing pressure or flow demand during normal operation. The power section is built as a standard unit. Circuit boards are manufactured with no coating, so the drive is intended for clean indoor locations with controlled humidity rather than corrosive atmospheres. Communication expanders are not fitted; both the fieldbus slot and the application option bay are supplied with no options, which suits installations that do not require remote network control.
