The 175Z7006 is an AC drive manufactured by Danfoss for building-service motor control. It is intended for supply fans, exhaust fans, pumps, and similar loads that benefit from adjustable motor speed instead of fixed full-speed operation. In an automation panel, the drive works between the incoming mains supply and a three-phase induction motor, converting fixed-frequency input power into a controlled output frequency for ventilation and climate-control equipment. By adjusting frequency to match demand, it can reduce mechanical stress on belts, bearings, and pump components during part-load operation.

The drive delivers a rated output of 2.2 kW, or 3.0 HP, which suits medium-frame motors used in air-handling systems and booster pumps. It accepts a 380-460 VAC three-phase line supply, so it can connect directly to common commercial power distribution. The unit uses a book-style IP 20 housing, which supports side-by-side cabinet mounting while providing finger-safe protection. Electromagnetic compatibility is supported by a Class A1 and B filter, which helps limit conducted emissions on connected feeders. Local setup and basic control are handled through a Local Control Panel (LCP), allowing parameter changes and start-stop commands from the front of the drive. This front interface supports routine adjustment without requiring a separate handheld device or external computer.

Targeted specifically at HVAC duty cycles, the drive is supplied as a standard unit without added communication cards or special protective finishes. The power board has no protective coating, so the unit is better suited for clean electrical enclosures where moisture and airborne contaminants are controlled. Control expansion is limited, and the fieldbus port is omitted, so network communication requires an external gateway when that function is needed. Where remote integration is required, the drive can be connected through external control hardware mounted elsewhere in the panel.
