The 157Z7286 is a Danfoss drive in the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. Designed for building automation, it converts constant-frequency mains power into a variable output. This allows centrifugal fans, pumps, and compressors to run only as fast as the current load requires, which reduces energy use and lowers mechanical stress on connected equipment. In HVAC systems, this type of control helps match motor output to changing airflow and circulation demand throughout the day.

The unit accepts 380-460 VAC, which matches common 50 Hz and 60 Hz three-phase supply systems. Its power section is rated at 7.5 kW / 10 HP. The drive uses a Compact NEMA 1 enclosure that provides finger-safe indoor mounting while allowing convection cooling through vent slots. To limit conducted radio-frequency noise, a built-in Class A1 filter is fitted to the input terminals. Operator interaction is handled through a Local Control Panel (LCP), which provides parameter editing, run commands, and diagnostic readouts directly on the unit. This arrangement allows routine status checks and basic adjustments at the drive face without external accessories.

The hardware is delivered as a standard unit, so no special PLC interface cards or redundant cooling modules are included. The circuit boards have no coating, so the drive should be installed in clean, non-condensing areas to reduce the risk of moisture tracking across components. The drive uses the HVAC macro Graham, which applies predefined parameter groups for that ventilation topology. That setup is intended for ventilation-related control logic rather than a custom application profile. Both the fieldbus slot and the application option bay are supplied with no installed options, leaving those positions open for functions that may be added later.
