Designed as a panel-mounted motor controller, it modulates the frequency and voltage applied to an induction motor so that conveyor sections, mixers, or pumps in automated process lines run at the commanded speed and torque. By integrating speed regulation and overload handling into a single device, the drive helps match motor output to changing load profiles and reduce inrush currents during starts. This supports smooth speed changes during routine operation and helps connected equipment respond to varying process demand.

Input power is accepted on a three-phase mains supply, so the converter can balance currents across all supply conductors and avoid neutral loading. The permissible line window is 380-480 V ±10% at 50/60 Hz, which lets the drive operate on common industrial grids without tap changers. Internally, its inverter section is sized for a continuous output of 1.5 kW, equivalent to 2.0 HP at the motor shaft, giving adequate margin for small centrifugal pumps and compact screw feeders. The housing carries an IP20 designation, so fingers or tools cannot contact live parts, but the unit must be mounted inside a closed cabinet when airborne dust or moisture is present. Thermal derating is not required under rated ambient conditions.

The slim Bookstyle format allows high packing density on DIN rails, which minimizes enclosure depth in multi-drive process skids. Because the inverter is shipped without an EMC filter, external RFI suppression components must be added wherever conducted emissions limits apply. Its dedicated Process application profile activates parameter sets for ramped starts, controlled stops, and constant-torque duty, while the Standard hardware configuration keeps option slots free for later fieldbus or brake chopper expansion.
