By adjusting output frequency and voltage, the unit helps conveyors, mixers, pumps, and similar automated equipment match motor speed to changing load conditions. This method gives the connected motor smoother acceleration and speed control than direct-on-line operation. The drive has a standard configuration, and there is no fieldbus option, so speed references are provided through terminal signals or the local keypad.

The input window of 380-480 V accommodates utility grids that may vary by ±10 %, while the synchronized 50/60 Hz range lets the same drive serve regions with different line frequencies. Because the power section is wired for 3-phase operation, current is distributed across all three conductors, reducing conductor size and harmonic stress. This also helps the rectifier stage draw power more evenly from the supply. Built-in radio-frequency suppression meets EN 55011 Class A1, so additional filters are not required on typical factory lines. No application option is fitted, so the drive remains in its standard control configuration.

The drive uses a book-style enclosure, which minimizes panel width and allows side-by-side mounting with other 2800 units. Its IP20 protection rating limits installation to cabinets or clean electrical rooms where protection against finger contact is sufficient. A built-in display (SLCP) shows setpoint, status, and fault codes without the need for an external operator panel. Status information is available directly at the front of the unit, which supports local monitoring during operation. Because the control boards do not have conformal coating, the drive should remain in a dry, non-condensing atmosphere.
