The 195N1086 is a variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT 2800 Low Voltage Drives series. Acting as a motor controller within process-oriented automation, it modulates induction-motor speed and torque so conveyors, mixers, or pumps match demand while reducing electrical stress on the driven system. Its low-voltage architecture lets the unit mount inside standard control panels and interface with existing three-phase mains, making it suitable for upgrades where cabinet space and wiring access are limited.

The drive accepts an input range of 380-480 V AC ±10% at 50/60 Hz on a three-phase line, which matches common industrial power systems. From that supply, the inverter delivers 7.5 HP, equivalent to 5.5 kW, making it suitable for mid-range centrifugal equipment and other steady-duty motor loads. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, so live parts are finger-safe, but the unit should be installed inside a clean cabinet. No fieldbus card is fitted, so control signals and parameter access are handled through the terminal connections or a local serial link. It is intended for process duty, and the available control functions support common pump and fan operating profiles without requiring an added application option.

This drive uses a Bookstyle chassis that minimizes panel width and permits side-by-side mounting in space-conscious enclosures. Status and parameter values appear on a built-in display, so an external keypad is not required for local setup and monitoring. The unit is supplied in a standard configuration with a brake, enabling an external braking resistor to absorb regenerated energy during rapid deceleration. Cooling surfaces are supplied without coating, and the RFI section is provided without an EMC filter, so additional suppression components may be needed where conducted-emission limits apply. Without a fieldbus module, the terminal strip remains the primary control path for start, stop, speed reference, and related drive commands.
