The 195N1085 is a low-voltage AC drive manufactured by Danfoss and positioned in the VLT 2800 Low Voltage Drives series. Intended for cabinet installation in automation cells, the unit modulates the speed of three-phase induction motors so conveyors, pumps, and fans can track real-time process requirements instead of running at constant frequency. This lets the motor follow changing process demand more closely during start, run, and slowdown conditions. Current sharing across all three input lines helps maintain balanced operation during variable-torque duty.

The drive accepts 380-480 V ± 10% at 50/60 Hz from a three-phase mains supply, which matches common industrial power systems. Its enclosure uses the Bookstyle profile, allowing several drives to be stacked side by side in narrow panels where mounting space is limited. The inverter section delivers a continuous output of 5.5 kW and supports motor ratings up to 7.5 HP without derating, making it suitable for many mid-sized conveying and fluid-handling tasks. Personnel and component protection is provided by an IP20 housing, so the drive should be installed inside a larger enclosure where dust, moisture, or accidental contact may be present.

Local setup is handled through the built-in display (SLCP), which shows parameters and alarms on the front cover and gives direct access to routine operating adjustments. The drive is supplied in the standard configuration, with no application option board or fieldbus interface installed, which suits stand-alone machines that rely on basic control wiring. It is provided without EMC filtering, so external RFI suppression may be required where conducted emission limits apply. The control boards have no conformal coating, so clean-air installation is advisable to reduce the risk of contamination from airborne debris. This model is intended for Process duties and provides open-loop speed regulation for applications that do not require closed-loop motor feedback.
