The 195N1082 is a low-voltage variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss within the VLT 2800 Low Voltage Drives series. Intended for three-phase process automation, the unit converts fixed mains power to a controlled output frequency, enabling pumps, mixers, and fans to follow demand rather than operate at constant speed. Its configuration targets general process duties, and because no specific application option is installed, setup can focus on basic motor parameters rather than embedded industry macros.

Electrically, the converter supplies up to 4.0 kW of output power, equivalent to 5.0 HP at the motor shaft. It accepts a line window of 380-480 V ±10% 50/60 Hz, allowing operation on common industrial distribution systems. Input must be three-phase, and the built-in brake chopper in the standard hardware package supports fast deceleration of loads. A DeviceNet fieldbus card is installed as the primary network interface, so parameter access, start and stop commands, and fault reporting can be integrated into PLC architectures without additional gateways. No protective conformal coating is applied to the power board, so installation should avoid corrosive atmospheres.

The drive uses the slim Bookstyle housing, fitting into narrow column spaces while leaving room for cable bends. It carries an IP20 protection rating, meaning live parts are guarded against accidental finger contact, but the panel enclosure must provide additional shielding. A built-in display (SLCP) is recessed into the front panel, providing local readout of frequency, current, and alarm codes without an external keypad. Because the unit is delivered without an EMC filter, any conducted emission limits must be met by cabinet-level filtration. Cabinet design must also provide the extra protection that an open-panel drive does not supply on its own.
