The 195N1081 variable-frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss as a member of the VLT 2800 Low Voltage Drives series. It is intended for process-oriented machinery where precise speed adjustment of induction motors improves product quality and reduces energy use. The module uses a compact book-style mechanical format that fits densely packed control panels in automated equipment. This layout suits installations where cabinet space is limited but reliable motor control is still needed for pumps, fans, conveyors, and similar continuous-duty machines.

This model supplies a continuous output of 4.0 kW, which corresponds to 5.0 HP at rated load. It accepts a mains supply of 380-480 V ±10% 50/60 Hz on a three-phase network, allowing direct connection to standard industrial feeders. Communication with higher-level controllers is available through the integrated DeviceNet fieldbus, so setpoints and status data can travel over a single network link instead of separate hardwired control lines. The electronics are housed behind an IP20 front cover that helps prevent accidental finger contact while still allowing cabinet airflow. A built-in square-law control profile supports variable-torque loads such as fans and pumps, where motor speed can be adjusted to match changing process demand.

The narrow Bookstyle enclosure is delivered without conformal coating, making it better suited to clean electrical rooms than to corrosive atmospheres. Parameter entry and local diagnostics are available through the front-mounted built-in display (SLCP), so operating values and fault information can be viewed directly at the drive. Because the unit is supplied without an EMC filter, external RFI suppression must be added when the installation requires conducted-emission control. This arrangement leaves filter selection to the machine layout and the electrical environment around the cabinet.
