The 195N1017 low-voltage AC drive is produced by Danfoss within the VLT 2800 Low Voltage Drives series. Designed as a power-conversion module, it turns fixed-frequency mains power into variable-frequency output so that three-phase motors in pumps, conveyors, fans, and similar equipment can be started, stopped, and regulated to match process demands. By providing speed control, the unit helps reduce mechanical stress, match torque to load conditions, and lower energy consumption on automated lines dedicated to continuous processing tasks where stable motor control is required during changing load conditions.

The mechanical layout uses a Bookstyle enclosure, meaning the heat sink and terminals are stacked vertically so several drives can share narrow cabinet space. On the power side, the input accepts 380-480 V AC with a tolerance of ±10% and can synchronize with both 50/60 Hz supply grids, allowing use in European and North American facilities without tap changes. Internally, the rectifier and inverter are rated for three-phase operation, which provides smoother DC-link voltage and lower current ripple than single-phase feeds. The power stage is rated at 0.75 kW, which suits small centrifugal pumps, mixers, and light conveyor sections used in process skids and other compact industrial assemblies.

The drive maintains full output up to 45 °C, so cabinet ventilation only needs to remove additional heat above that limit. Parameters are configured through the built-in display (SLCP), which allows local setup and status review without an external keypad. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, which is suitable for clean indoor panels where live parts remain guarded but the unit is not fully sealed. The standard hardware configuration is supplied without coating, without an RFI filter, and with no dedicated application option, making the base unit straightforward for installations that rely on separate cabinet-level protection and external interference control.
