The 195N1008 low-voltage AC drive is produced by Danfoss as part of the VLT 2800 Low Voltage Drives series. The unit fits into a book-style enclosure that saves cabinet space. A built-in SLCP display lets users set parameters and view alarms without extra equipment. Designed for three-phase motors in process automation, the drive modulates output frequency to improve energy use and maintain stable torque on small mechanical loads. This layout is suited to compact control cabinets where side-by-side mounting is important and local access to settings is useful during routine operation. It has a standard configuration with an integrated brake relay and no dedicated application option.

On the input side, the drive accepts three-phase mains from 380-480 V at either 50 Hz or 60 Hz, allowing it to share panels with standard industrial power systems. Internally, it is rated for 0.55 kW continuous mechanical power, which corresponds to 0.75 HP. During normal loading, the converter draws an input current of 1.6 A and reaches an efficiency of 96%, so most of the absorbed electrical energy reaches the motor terminals rather than being dissipated as heat. The nominal motor current delivered by the output bridge is 1.7 A, and a brake chopper is included for controlled deceleration. That output range suits fans, pumps, and conveyors that need modest motor power with steady speed control.

For short overloads, the inverter can raise line-to-motor current to 2.7 A for 60 seconds to overcome inertia without stalling. Even at full load, total power loss remains 28 W, allowing convection cooling inside the panel, and the overall mass is 2.1 kg. The low heat loss helps limit temperature rise around nearby components when the drive is installed in a ventilated enclosure. The enclosure carries an IP20 rating, so it protects against accidental finger contact, but the drive must be mounted in a clean control cabinet. Conducted emissions are suppressed by the integrated EN 55011 Class A1 RFI filter, which helps the installation meet electromagnetic compatibility requirements without external chokes. Because no special coating is applied, the drive is intended for indoor use in noncorrosive environments.
