Danfoss manufactures the 195N0015 frequency converter in the VLT 2800 Low Voltage Drives series. It serves as a compact AC drive that modulates the speed of fractional-horsepower induction motors in continuous-flow process equipment. By varying output frequency, it allows tighter control of pumps, fans, and mixers while keeping panel footprints small in compact control cabinets. Adjustable speed operation can also smooth process flow and reduce the abrupt starts associated with direct-on-line motor operation. Its compact form suits panel layouts where every millimeter of width matters.

The inverter accepts a supply of 200-240 V AC from a single-phase mains network. Its continuous output is rated at 0.55 kW, which corresponds to 0.75 HP for light process duties. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, so the drive must be mounted inside a protected cabinet. It is supplied in a standard configuration with no application option installed, which keeps the setup general-purpose for common process tasks. Because the drive is supplied without coating, heat from the power stage can dissipate directly into the surrounding air path.

The drive uses a bookstyle housing format, allowing dense side-by-side installation on DIN rail or back-plate assemblies. Conducted emissions are limited by an internal RFI filter rated EN 55011 Class A1, which helps support use on low-voltage networks. Local interaction is provided through a built-in display (SLCP) that shows speed references, status words, and alarm texts without requiring an external module. The unit is supplied without a fieldbus option, so any bus interface must be added externally when network communication is needed. The front display also supports direct viewing of operating conditions, which is useful when the drive is installed as a stand-alone unit inside a small enclosure.
