Intended for compact speed control of fractional-kilowatt motors, this component converts fixed-frequency AC line power into a variable output that matches the torque requirements of pumps, fans, or small conveyors in automated process lines. By combining modulation electronics, protection circuits, and a local operator panel in one narrow housing, it replaces mechanical throttling devices and supports energy-efficient industrial operation.

The drive accepts either single-phase or three-phase supply within the 200-240 V AC range, so it can be wired directly to common 208 V or 230 V distribution panels without an autotransformer. Its continuous motor output is limited to 0.55 kW, which corresponds to 0.75 HP and suits small induction motors used for auxiliary duties. The slim Bookstyle enclosure is only 65 mm wide, allowing multiple units to share the same DIN rail while preserving airflow. Protection is rated at IP20, so live parts are finger-safe while the surrounding cabinet provides dust and moisture protection. A built-in display (SLCP) shows speed, alarm codes, and parameter numbers, allowing local status checks and parameter entry without a separate programmer.

The drive uses a general-purpose parameter set, and the PCB is supplied without coating for use in panels with controlled humidity. The unit is intended for continuous process control, and electromagnetic compliance must be handled externally because it is supplied without a filter. Network integration is also external because the standard model operates without a fieldbus option and relies on analog references or digital terminals.
