As a compact controller, it converts constant mains power into a modulated output that matches the torque and speed requirements of motors used in continuous-flow process equipment. The drive's form factor allows it to fit beside other automation modules on DIN rails, making it suitable for pump skids, small conveyors, and fan decks where space and simple wiring are priorities.

This model accepts a line supply of 200-240 V AC, so it can be powered directly from low-voltage distribution boards without a transformer. The input configuration is single-phase, which simplifies installation in facilities that do not have three-phase service available at the mounting location. Once energized, the unit is protected against accidental contact by its IP20 housing; this rating indicates finger-safe openings but does not provide sealing against liquids. To limit conducted emissions, it incorporates an integrated RFI filter that meets EN 55011 Class A1 limits, helping reduce interference with nearby instrumentation. Mechanical clearance inside the cabinet is minimized by the Bookstyle enclosure, whose narrow width permits dense stacking of multiple drives.

Operational visibility is provided through the built-in display (SLCP), which shows speed, status codes, and parameter values without the need for an external keypad. The drive has no application option, so it remains suitable for a range of process duties instead of being limited to a dedicated preset configuration. The electronics are supplied without coating, which makes the unit better suited to dry, filtered control rooms than corrosive atmospheres. Communication peripherals are also omitted; the unit comes without a fieldbus option, so integration must rely on the standard terminal strip for start, stop, and reference signals.
