The 132L4039 is an AC variable speed drive produced by Danfoss and placed in the VLT 2800 Low Voltage Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency mains power into an adjustable output for induction motors used in process equipment such as pumps, mixers, and conveyors. This allows the connected motor to run at the speed required by the application instead of being limited to line frequency. By modulating frequency and voltage, the drive provides precise motor speed control, improves energy use, and permits soft starting or stopping where throughput and torque must match production demand.

Rated for 1.1 kW of continuous output, the drive supports motors up to 1.5 HP, which suits many mid-sized process machines. Its input section accepts 380-480 V lines at 50/60 Hz, while the inverter bridge delivers a variable waveform on a three-phase output bus. This input range supports common industrial power systems used in plant environments. The standard hardware package includes an internal brake transistor that dissipates regenerated energy during rapid deceleration. A conformal coating protects the circuit boards from moisture and contaminants, and the unit ships without an application option or fieldbus card.

The drive uses a Bookstyle enclosure, so it mounts vertically with minimal panel width and supports dense cabinet layouts. A front-mounted built-in display (SLCP) shows speed, current, and alarm codes, allowing parameter changes and status checks without external tools. Protection reaches IP20, indicating finger-safe openings and suitability for clean electrical rooms. Conducted emissions are limited by the integrated RFI filter rated EN 55011 Class A1 for industrial networks. The drive is delivered with a generic parameter set, and analog or digital references can be assigned as needed for general process duties.
