The 131Z8848 is a low-voltage AC drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT 2800 Low Voltage Drives series. It is installed between the mains supply and an induction motor to regulate speed and torque in process-oriented industrial machinery. By varying output frequency, the drive supports precise motor control and can reduce energy use during partial-load operation. It is suited to control panels where a compact drive footprint is needed for pumps, fans, conveyors, and other continuously running equipment.

This drive operates from a mains supply of 380-480 V ± 10% at 50/60 Hz and is intended for three-phase networks commonly used in plant distribution systems. Its continuous output is rated at 7.5 kW, which corresponds to 10 HP, so it can support medium-sized motor loads without exceeding its normal duty range. The enclosure is rated IP20, which means the unit is intended for cabinet installation rather than direct exposure on the machine. A protective coating helps shield the circuit boards from moisture and contaminants, and the unit comes without an application option card or a fieldbus module for installations that use basic analog or discrete control.

The mechanical outline uses a narrow Bookstyle format, allowing multiple drives to be mounted side by side with minimal clearance in compact cabinets. Status and parameter data are shown on a built-in SLCP display, so local setup and monitoring can be done from the front of the unit. For conducted-emission control, the integrated RFI filter complies with EN 55011 Class A1. When fast deceleration is required, the drive includes an internal brake chopper that works with an external resistor to absorb regenerated energy. The coated electronics also help the drive remain dependable in locations where humidity or airborne particles may vary during normal operation.
