This arrangement suits distributed machine sections such as conveyors, pumps, and other equipment where a separate control cabinet is not ideal.

The drive accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x 380-480 V, so it can be connected to standard industrial power networks without an upstream transformer. Its enclosure carries an IP66 rating, which indicates total dust exclusion and protection against high-pressure water jets at exposed mounting points. At the output stage, the inverter can deliver 0.55 kW of continuous mechanical power, matching the motor size commonly used on small pumps, fans, or conveyors. Data exchange with the plant controller is handled over Profibus DP V0/V1 3 Mbaud, allowing cyclic setpoint transfer and diagnostic reporting at that communication speed. To limit conducted emissions, the electronics include an integral 1 A filter on the RFI side, so additional cabinet-level filtering is unnecessary. This variant is supplied with standard hardware and a standard protective coating on exposed boards.

In processing applications, the micro drive is sized to supply 0.75 HP of shaft output. The unit uses a wall-mounted box with metric threads and a service switch, which permits local isolation and metric conduit entry during installation and service access. A dedicated display connector allows a keypad or panel to be connected for parameter review without opening the housing, which helps preserve the enclosure seal.
