The 178B1485 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss and assigned to the FCD 300 Micro Drives series. Supplied as product type FCD 300, it is intended to sit close to machinery and modulate induction motor speed so that flow, agitation, or conveyor movement can follow real-time production needs while maintaining consistent torque. This decentralized mounting style keeps the drive close to the motor and helps reduce long cable runs in compact machine layouts. A standard coating is applied to the circuit boards to reduce moisture-related tracking in wet processing areas.

The drive carries an enclosure rating of IP66, meaning its housing prevents dust ingress and resists high-pressure water jets, so it can be mounted in washdown zones. Its mains supply window is 3x380-480 V, allowing connection to standard three-phase networks without autotransformers.
