The MS2M03-B0FNN-KMDH1 is a compact synchronous servo motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MS2M Ultra Compact Motors series. It converts controlled current from a drive controller into rotary motion for axes that require precise position and velocity regulation in automated packaging, electronics assembly, and machine-tool systems. The low-mass design and slim housing let the motor sit close to moving loads without adding unnecessary bulk to the machine. It is well suited to compact axes where installation space is limited and rapid reversals are common.

At a rated speed of 3000 rpm, the unit provides 0.4 kW of mechanical output and continuous torque of 1.27 Nm. During continuous duty, the drive must supply 2.40 A, while the phase resistance is 1.74 ? at 20 °C and the logic supply can range from 4.75 V to 5.25 V. For short load steps, the windings can withstand up to 7.23 A. The aluminum housing has a protection rating of IP65, which helps keep out dust and water jets. The permitted ambient temperature range is 0 °C to 40 °C, and airborne noise does not exceed 65 dB(A) under those conditions. These electrical and thermal values support stable operation during steady running and brief overload events.

Peak torque reaches 3.82 Nm, and the motor has a torque constant of 0.52 Nm/A together with a voltage constant of 18.30 V(rms) per 1000 rpm. Cooling is provided by natural convection, so the motor operates without a separate fan. The brake is released electrically and engages when 24 V DC is removed from the coil. Power and encoder connections use M17 quick-lock SPEEDCON plugs, and the motor is supplied with a double metal lead-wire cable. Position feedback comes from an optical 23-bit encoder that supports single-turn and multi-turn operation, allowing accurate position reporting over one revolution or across repeated turns. The motor also has frame size 3, frame length B, a plain shaft without a sealing ring, and low rotor inertia for quick acceleration on compact servo axes.
