KCU IndraDrive Control Systems
KCU IndraDrive Control Systems are Bosch Rexroth Indramat control units used to connect and manage KSM servo drives in IndraDrive Mi distributed drive systems. The KCU01 functions as part of a DC-bus-based IndraDrive package and must be used with compatible HMV01, HMV02, HCS02, or HCS03 supply/converter hardware. It receives power from a 24 VDC PELV control supply and provides a 42 V control-voltage output for the connected KSM drive chain. The unit organizes the main system interfaces for SERCOS communication, status messages, DC bus wiring, protective earth, and the hybrid-cable connection to the first KSM drive. Shield bonding and strain-relief provisions are built into the installation concept to support reliable wiring and EMC performance. For service and commissioning, onboard LEDs show E-stop condition, supply status, warning states, DC-bus availability, and drive-group communication. The KCU is designed for IP20 control-cabinet mounting with defined spacing, grounding, and wiring requirements.
