Designed for mobile off-highway machinery, it coordinates hydraulic actuators by processing sensor signals and transmitting drive commands through its software-configurable outputs. The module functions as the central logic element in vehicles such as loaders or forestry equipment, allowing discrete relays to be replaced with a programmable platform that supports closed-loop control, diagnostics, and communication over vehicle networks.

In operation, a C164CI microcontroller running at 20 MHz supervises all tasks. Application code resides in 256 kByte of flash while dynamic variables are buffered by 128 kByte of RAM, and an additional 2 kByte of EEPROM preserves calibration data after power down. The controller accepts two analog current channels, two analog voltage channels, and two frequency inputs, so pump displacement, pressure, or speed sensors can be captured without external converters. A single CAN interface streams measured values to networked devices, and the controller withstands electrical transients up to 70 V during load-dump events without data loss. During heavy actuation, the module may source up to 8 A, but idle consumption remains limited to 250 mA, helping support battery-powered and start-stop vehicle systems.

Field wiring is collected on a 52-pin automotive connector that seals against dust and water, and with the mating cover installed the assembly meets IP65 protection for exposed mounting locations. A regulated 5 V ±0.1 V sensor supply rail is provided on the connector to power ratiometric transducers, removing the need for separate regulators. One RS-232 service port remains available for bench programming or service access outside the vehicle network. Protected I/O, on-board power conditioning, and serial diagnostics support use in mobile hydraulic platforms that require durable electronic control.
