The EEA-PAM-561-E-32 power amplifier card is manufactured by Vickers within the EEA-PAM Power Amplifiers series. Designed for closed-loop hydraulic motion control, the board accepts machine-level reference signals, conditions them, and drives proportional valve coils to regulate pressure or flow in automated equipment. It mounts in a 32-way Eurocard rack and uses the series edge connector for installation in compatible control assemblies. By combining alarm, monitoring, and sensor interfaces on a single printed circuit assembly, the module reduces panel wiring and supports straightforward system setup.

Nominal operation requires a supply of 24 VDC, while an auxiliary rail provides +15 VDC for external transducers. The edge interface follows the DIN 41612 back-plane standard, and the pin arrangement uses the F48 pattern so the card seats correctly in compatible Eurocard enclosures. For feedback devices, the sensor channel can accept currents up to 20 mA and voltages up to 24 V, while input resistances of 100 ? for current and 100 k? for voltage help protect the conditioning stages from excess load. A monitor jack tied through 10 k? allows command signals to be checked without opening the circuit, and the opto-switch input is isolated by 2.7 k? to limit current drawn from the control electronics.

Status circuitry includes an out-of-range output that can source up to 100 mA from the system 24 V rail, along with a separate alarm line rated for 50 mA. The enable input has a high impedance of 47 k?, which helps prevent unnecessary loading of interlock and safety circuits. The board also provides a 2 mm test jack for oscilloscope probes during dynamic tuning. These current-limited outputs and high-impedance inputs help keep analog control signals isolated from switching noise during valve operation.
