The EEA-PAM-533-E-32 power amplifier card is manufactured by Vickers within the EEA-PAM Power Amplifiers series. Intended for Euro-card racks used in hydraulic drive cabinets, the board converts command voltages from a motion controller into valve coil currents while also conditioning LVDT position feedback. By closing this loop inside the card, it helps automation systems maintain stable spool positioning under changing pressure and load conditions.

Electrical characteristics center on a nominal supply of 24 VDC, and the board may draw up to 50 W during peak actuation. For differential LVDT sensors, it provides a reference of +15 V, allowing displacement feedback to remain independent of external power rails. Alarm circuitry can sink as much as 50 mA to drive lamps or logic inputs when a fault is detected. With a depth of 175.24 mm and a height of 128.4 mm, the card occupies one standard 6U slot behind a 32 mm front panel. Interface to the rack is through a DIN 41612 F48 male connector that routes command, sensor, and power lines. Incoming current loops have 100 ? input resistance, and sensor loops are limited to 20 mA or 24 V to protect precision components.

System safeguards rely on an amplifier shutdown point below <18 VDC, so dropping beneath this level removes drive to the valve before control becomes erratic. The monitor terminal presents 10 k? impedance, which helps prevent test equipment from loading the internal circuits during signal checks. If a command exceeds calibrated bounds, an out-of-range stage can source up to 100 mA, giving external logic a clear indication of servo saturation. The module operates between 0 °C and a maximum ambient temperature of 50 °C, and storage is permitted up to 85 °C without loss of function. These operating and storage temperatures support use in enclosed control cabinets where stable closed-loop hydraulic positioning is required.
