The SC400 servo drives from Pacific Scientific are highly regarded for their capabilities in analog velocity and torque control. They are designed to accept any analog command provided to the drive, translating + or - 10V inputs into proportional velocity and torque outputs. To achieve velocity control, the user needs to close the position loop, while for torque control with SC400 drives, closing the velocity and/or position loops is necessary. These drives are rated with a maximum continuous torque ranging from 30/1,500 to 23/3,000 pounds per inch.
