5000 Stepper Drives
The 5000 Stepper Drives series is a family of two-phase bipolar stepper motor drives that converts step and direction command signals into controlled motor winding current for position and motion applications. The series uses chopper current regulation, an internal power supply operating from 115 VAC, and selectable output current settings to match the drive to compatible stepper motors. User-selectable functions include multiple step resolutions ranging from full step to fine microstepping, mid-range instability control to reduce torque loss in critical speed regions, and idle current reduction to lower motor heating during dwell periods. The drives use optically isolated command inputs for step, direction, enable, and reset, and provide diagnostic indication for power, enable, stepping activity, power fault, and overtemperature conditions. Overall, the 5000 Stepper Drives series is designed for stepper motor systems that require configurable current control, selectable resolution, and basic fault protection in a cabinet-mounted industrial drive package.
