The PMX1750-G10-UN0-00 is a motor manufactured by Kollmorgen and assigned to the PMX Stepper Motors series. Designed for open-loop positioning duties, it translates command pulses into discrete shaft increments so automated stages, printers, and light-duty conveyors can index without feedback devices. The device accepts flexible unipolar or bipolar drive schemes, making it a straightforward actuator for low-inertia mechanical loads that need accurate repetitive movement. Because it is a stepper design, motion is produced in repeatable increments that suit simple indexing tasks driven by a pulse train. This operating style fits compact machinery where steady positioning is more important than closed-loop servo response.
This model executes each control pulse with a 1.8° step angle, giving 200 full steps per revolution for predictable angular resolution. The windings draw 1.03 A per phase, a value suited to mid-range stepper drives for efficient torque production. Internal copper circuits have a phase resistance of 5.81 ?, which helps limit inrush and supports stable current control. The motor uses a NEMA 17 frame size flange with a 1.7-inch square mounting pattern, allowing direct installation in common N17 layouts. Under static excitation, the rotor develops 0.535 Nm holding torque, which helps the shaft remain in position when motion commands pause.
The shaft is rated for a maximum axial load of 10 N and a maximum radial load of 28 N, helping protect the bearings during belt tensioning, gear contact, or other side-loading conditions. Heat transfer from the stator to ambient follows a thermal resistance of 4.78 °C/W, which helps estimate temperature rise during sustained operation. The rotor uses a 5-stack length, increasing the magnetic path to support higher torque within the same frame footprint. Electrical leads exit as a 6-lead set, so the motor can be wired for unipolar or bipolar drive arrangements without additional hardware changes. The motor has a smooth front shaft, no rear shaft, and no shaft seal, which keeps the mechanical interface simple for standard indexing assemblies.
