The 07.M4.C2D-3420 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by KEB for the M4 Variable Frequency Drives series. Intended for wall mounting, it connects a three-phase 400 V supply to smaller induction motors. By varying both voltage and frequency, the unit delivers the speed and torque control required by automated conveyors, pumps, and fan assemblies within compact production cells.

During operation, the inverter accepts a 400 V-class mains range of 305-500 V. It draws 2.8 A and supplies 2.6 A, which corresponds to 1.8 kVA of apparent power. Carrier modulation occurs at 4 kHz, limiting motor noise while keeping semiconductor losses within operating limits. Integrated RFI filtering is standard, and a supplementary filter is available as an accessory. The analog command input has a resistance of 40 k?, while the analog monitor channel supplies 5 mA. The status relay is rated for 30 V DC at 1 A. Internal capacitors discharge within five minutes after the power is turned off. Installation above 1,000 m requires a current reduction of 1% per 100 m, and the maximum installation altitude is 2,000 m. The control section uses a compact design, and the overall configuration has a standard build.

Housing design D and the standard mechanical build provide a sealed enclosure with IP65 ingress protection, while the terminal area has an IP65/54 classification. The drive powers motors rated up to 0.75 kW and dissipates 54 W of heat at rated load. A heat sink temperature limit of 70 °C establishes the required airflow conditions. A short-circuit withstand rating of 10 kA rms supports use with typical industrial fault-current levels. Continuous operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 45 °C, and the three-phase topology maintains balanced loading across the supply phases. Its wall-mounted orientation and factory-installed filter allow placement close to the machine frame without an auxiliary enclosure.
